Ontier Inc Exceeds Goal in Funding Round
Accelerating interest in Ontier leads to oversubscribed round
Portland, Oregon—January 2, 2009 — Ontier Inc., developer of on-demand software that accelerates business communication, today announced it has oversubscribed its initial funding goal, bringing in more investment dollars than originally planned. Most recently, Doug Fieldhouse joined a number of other prominent business leaders including Les Fahey and Paul Gulick in backing Ontier. The company reports that 90% of its investment dollars in this round have come from the Portland area.
“We are very pleased with the interest and support from the investment community,” said Ontier CEO Sebastian Rapport. “It is a healthy sign that early-stage funding is still available for startup companies despite the current financial climate. With this type of support, young companies can play an essential role in helping to restore economic vitality.”
Ontier will use the funds for ongoing development and a customer beta program in early 2009.
