Frequent users of Pixetell’s rich messaging capabilities have come to appreciate a “secret weapon” built into the visual communications product: the view counter.
The view counter is a great feature that tells the sender of a Pixetell message how many times a message has been clicked on. The view counter can be found by selecting a “sent” Pixetell in your “shared” library and clicking on the “+” symbol at the far right of the message bar. A drop-down menu includes the “Total views” information.
Counter infuses your online communications with vital data
Why do we call this a secret weapon? Several good reasons:
- It tells you how many times your message has been viewed, an indication of the recipient’s interest level.
- If you sent the message to a single recipient and it has been viewed multiple times, this may indicate your primary audience has shared the message with others.
- If you sent the message to a group of, say, five people, and the view counter indicates “3”, it is obvious not everyone has seen it.
- If the view counter indicates the message has not been opened after a certain time lapse, this is a call to action for follow-up on your part.
Counter helps avoid awkward communications moments
Hint: Suppose you are about to call the recipient of a Pixetell for follow-up discussion, but the view counter indicates that the message has not been viewed. You may be told by your recipient, “Yes, I got your message and read it.” To avoid an awkward situation, you can suggest that you both go through the message together for further clarification on your part.
Use the secret weapon—it’s there to help you get ahead of the competition!
